Uriel Villalobos delivers his second composition for Static Discos, Tentli, a modern composition full of brilliant meditation and sonority, a continuation of his previous sound exploration Tloque Nahuaque.
Tentli also has a Spatial Audio mix on Dolby ATMOS. Villalobos explains to Soundcheck:Magazine about his creative process: “the possibility that this type of mix gives you in terms of mounting the instruments and the way in which you position the frequencies, chords and melodies is very different from doing it in stereo. You have many more options. The effects work differently. To put it simply, it is as if you are in a concert hall, in the middle of the orchestra, as if you are next to the conductor and you can feel the sound traveling through the acoustics and the space above your head. It is very impressive. When composing, you have your instruments well defined, but you produce with the option of sizing the space you have between left and right, all the millimeters between one and the other, and how you assign each instrument in each space”.
