Antiguo Autómata Mexicano (AAM) has announced that his next release will be an EP titled “Surspacea”. According to Ángel Sánchez Borges his new recording is “AAM’s foray into Space Rock. Surspacea is a concept without any real meaning, but that makes sense once you hear the music”. According to Ángel Sánchez Borges the new EP will take AAM “to the last consequences of his interest in progressive rock from the 70’s, with digital emulations of analog synthesis based on melody and frenetic rhythms. This EP will be a wink to the sonic miasma of two worlds: The Dream Syndicate and Tangerine Dream”.

The four track EP will contain three remixes, one by Mexican electronic legend Walter Schmidt and a second one by Guadalajara’s SLZR and a third one by Andrés Bucci (Detalles, Plan V). A rough mix of one of Surspacea’s tracks, Speed, can be seen/heard below:
